Cookie and service list last updated: September 12, 2026
This policy explains what personal information this website collects about you, why we collect it, who else receives it, and what choices and rights you have. It applies to this website and to the services we run on it.
Who we are
This website is run by the organisation named below. That organisation is responsible for the personal information described in this policy.

What personal information we collect
When you visit this website, our web server automatically records technical details that your browser sends with every request, such as your IP address, which pages you asked for, when you asked for them, and which page or search sent you here. This happens on every website, and we use it to serve pages and to keep the site secure.
Cookies and similar technologies may collect more than this, depending on the choices you make. That is described in the next two sections.
Replace this block: Describe anything else this site collects directly from people. For example names, email addresses and messages from contact forms; account details if visitors can register; delivery and billing details if you sell something; files people upload. For each one, say what you collect it for and how long you keep it.
Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small files a website asks your browser to store. Similar technologies, such as pixels, tags and browser storage, do the same job in a different way. Some are needed for the site to work at all. Others are used for measurement or advertising, and those are the ones you get a choice about.
- Essential Cookies Required for basic website functionality.
- Functional Cookies Enable features like saved preferences and personalized content.
- Analytics Cookies Help us understand how visitors use our site so we can improve it.
- Uncategorized Cookies Cookies that haven't been categorized yet.
Non-essential cookies are only set after you allow them through the cookie banner.

You can review or change your choice at any time using the cookie preferences control on this site.
Your cookie consent choices
When you choose which cookies to allow, this site stores that choice in two cookies in your browser. surecookie_user_consent holds the choice itself and lasts 365 days. surecookie_session_id holds a randomly generated identifier and lasts 365 days regardless of that setting; it is created the first time you load a page, before you have chosen anything, so that a choice you make later can be matched to the same browser.
We also keep a record of the choice on this site, so that we can show, if we are ever asked, that you were given a choice and what you chose. Each record holds the date and time, which categories you allowed and which you refused, the random identifier from the cookie above, a shortened form of your IP address, and the country your visit appeared to come from. If you were signed in, it also holds your user account ID.
The IP address in the record is shortened before it is stored: for a normal IPv4 address the last part is replaced with a zero. We do not store your full IP address in these records, and there is no setting that would make us.
To work out which country your visit came from, this site sends your full IP address to a geolocation service operated by Brainstorm Force, the maker of the consent tool used on this site, at library.surecookie.com. The address is sent as part of the web address of that request, only the country comes back, and only the shortened address is stored here. That service is hosted in Germany. Requests reach it through a content delivery network run by a company based in the United States, so that step can involve a transfer outside the European Economic Area. The result is cached for 24 hours, so a repeat visit within that time does not send it again.
These records are stored on this website and are deleted automatically once they are 365 days old.
Separately from how long that record is kept, the choice saved in your browser lasts 365 days. After that it expires and you will be asked again. If we ever need to ask everyone again sooner, for example because the categories on this site have changed, the banner will reappear and your previous choice stops applying.
These consent records are not covered by the personal-data erasure tool built into this site. Erasing your other data leaves the consent record in place, because it is the evidence that you were given a choice. If you want the record itself removed, ask us and we will remove it by hand.
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the cookie preferences control on this site. Withdrawing does not undo anything that happened while your permission was in place.
Who receives information about your visit
Some of the services this site uses receive information about you directly, because your browser has to contact them to load the content or the script they provide. When that happens they can see your IP address and basic details about your browser, whether or not you interact with anything.
| Service | Purpose | Category | Domain |
|---|
| Google Fonts | Loads Google web fonts. | Functional Cookies | fonts.googleapis.com, fonts.gstatic.com |
| Google Analytics | Website traffic and audience analytics. | Analytics Cookies | googletagmanager.com, google-analytics.com |
What this site sends from its own server
Separately from the files your browser loads, this site sends a small amount of information to other services from its own server while handling your visit. Because this happens on our side, your browser settings cannot control it.
- Your IP address is sent to
library.surecookie.com to work out which country you are visiting from, so the right consent rules can be applied and recorded. Only the country comes back.
Replace this block: Add any other organizations that receive personal information from this site but would not show up in a scan of the pages. Common examples are your web host, your payment processor, your email delivery service, your CRM or helpdesk, and delivery companies.
This site applies the same cookie and privacy practices to every visitor, wherever they are.
How long we keep your information
We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purpose we collected it for, or for as long as the law requires us to. How long this site keeps records of your cookie choices is set out under "Your cookie consent choices" above.
Replace this block: Add how long you keep the other information listed above, such as form submissions, accounts, orders, invoices and support messages.
Where your information is processed
We are based in Norway. Some of the services listed above process information in other countries.
Where personal information is transferred out of your region, we rely on the following safeguard: EU Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC) and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework
Your rights under the GDPR
If you are in the European Economic Area, the General Data Protection Regulation gives you the right of access to your personal data, the right to have it corrected or erased, the right to restrict or object to how we use it, the right to receive it in a portable form, and the right to withdraw consent at any time without affecting anything done before you withdrew it.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the data protection authority in the country where you live or work.
Your rights over your information
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you and ask for a copy of it. You can ask us to correct it if it is wrong, ask us to delete it, and object to us using it in a particular way. Where we rely on your permission, you can take that permission back at any time.
To make any of these requests, use the contact details at the end of this policy. We will not charge you for a request and we will not treat you differently for making one.
Some requests are limited by law. We may have to keep particular records to meet legal, accounting or security obligations, and where that applies to your request we will tell you which records and why.
If you are not happy with how we handle your request, you can complain to the data protection authority for your country.
Why we are allowed to use your information
For anything on this site that needs your permission, including non-essential cookies, our basis is the permission you give through the cookie banner, and you can take it back at any time without affecting anything we did before you did.
Replace this block: Add the reason you are allowed to use the other information listed above. The usual reasons are that someone asked you to do something (a contract), that you have to by law, or that you have a legitimate interest you have weighed against their privacy.
Keeping your information secure
We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect personal information from being lost, misused, or accessed by people who should not see it. No website and no way of sending information over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.
Links to other websites
This site may link to websites we do not run. Those websites have their own privacy policies and their own practices, and we are not responsible for their content or what they do with your information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when this site changes, when what we do with information changes, or when the law changes. When we do, we will publish the new version on this page and update the date at the top. If a change means we need your permission for something new, we will ask you for it.
